doesn't matter to me now I am leaving the game. there is one million dollars in my account. your welcome to it if they will let you have it. probable not though.

peter
12-27-2010, 06:05 AM
Very very bad idea!!!! And did't notify the player the change....Many player play hard to get the item, and the xp lower so much!!! I think I should shut this game down...and tell my friend resisit this game . It seem our player rights is trash...

They probably did it because people were getting levels way faster than they anticipated. People are probably reaching the maximum level too quickly.

John Row

the xp boosts either in the store or in collections compensate for any lowering of xp points...... maybe we should complain about getting rid of the boosts...and put the xp back... show of hands?? didn't think so...

I think someone is behind this thing..they lowered the experience on collections.. not the devs fault..they was just convinced by a player because he is not benefiting on this..or he doesn't want others benefit more than him thats why he talked with the devs..damn

John Row
12-27-2010, 07:48 PM
don't see that happening...the game's in beta... they make changes...

jsoneal
12-27-2010, 08:10 PM
I'm not saying there shouldn't be changes or (hopefully) improvements to the game, but if it's still in BETA testing after this long, they released it too soon. Will it be restarted for everyone (with an announcement giving us a warning) after it comes out for real??

John Row
12-27-2010, 08:15 PM
it went up sept 8th... as far as an announcement? pfft i doubt it... you could wait to play until everyone thinks it's perfect...;-)

just out of curiosity and "s's & g"s how would higher xp rewards not have benefited "that one guy"...... what was the "one guy's" logical argument that convinced the "easily persuaded" developers...

John Row
12-27-2010, 08:24 PM
CURRENTLY the max lvl is 200... they can up that pretty easily i'd think...your thought is probably part of it...the highest non cheater is in the 120+ levels...

John Row
12-27-2010, 08:26 PM
what will happen is a developer will post that they're looking at it... so i guess it's a good thing that it's in beta...

jsoneal
12-27-2010, 08:47 PM
JRow, Do you know of cheaters at higher levels?

kobebayan

agree to jsoneal.. changes are so fast... after buying lots of this they will suddenly remove it

the game got updated w/ balancing tweaks so the right thing was done.

kobebayan
12-27-2010, 11:46 PM
it cant be balanced easily because some of us bought condos already. now that it is 85 exp on condos..do you think the cheating stopped?go answer this.

Chris Sebastiano
12-28-2010, 12:04 AM
well live with it dude, the game is beta and this isnt the only time balancing was done. When racket system came to wharehouses everyone got upset too but thats the past and everyone learned to live with it.At least the diamonds you can still get.

kobebayan
12-28-2010, 12:31 AM
no..the 'racket thing' was too far to this topic.. the racket was not fair to everybody, because the income was lowered.. here some have gained and some have not.. if they will change it back to previous rewards, it will be fair.. those changes doesn't prevent cheaters to cheat..so why not switch it back to previous?... and how could you say it was balancing?because peggy, the one you called cheater, will gonna catch you with the use of those condos?how about us?we haven't enjoyed the exp-rewards yet.!.

Chris Sebastiano
12-28-2010, 02:40 AM
I don't care bout peggy she supposed to been adjusted anyway for abusing en energy glitch a month ago, think over 1k exp for completing a retarded collection is not fair to the balance of the game, the rich stronger get more rich and stronger nah nah jose.Too much has been geared to the pvpers, most the money you guys uses to build condos u get from robbing some1 else, after all that how you complete the collections right? when did crime city become collection wars I don't remember seeing that post. The balancing is thrown when the focus of roles is shifted to purely pvp meaning stats to def/atk more than to energy , and energy usage more to robbing.fighting than to doing missions this game is built on,hence the reason for lvl 5 mastery and new areas.Leveling after Leveling takes the fun out the game, to level purely off collections is a glitch on the devs end when releasing collections.Everyone took it for granted and changed their hoods and game playing style for a something that remained unbalanced till today. If everyone had a mindframe that something good wont last long then you would know better to throw in all chips into a fragile glass bowl that broke on you and if you expected to slice through game levels as you did then im glad it blew up in your face, so now 3 things you can do
1.) readjust yourself in a diff configuration
2.)buy boosts (yes devs losing money if no-one buys when game off balance)
3.) Quit the game and find another game you can worm through

Good to see the devs are now cracking down more heavily than before to keep things in check.

Have a good day!

i agree with you kobebayan.. i think someone's talking with the devs and making all this happened..

kobebayan
12-28-2010, 03:02 AM
psssss... it depends on the player.. not all players think the way you think.. and I can't do number 2 which is to buy boost.. I am not rich like you, I cant afford that.,,

"leveling after leveling takes the fun out of the game" wew but you still focuses on leveling

whine whine whine, I love it!!
Listen I have condos as well but im not bent out of shape, and it wasn't one player reporting the imbalance to the devs it was a group of players that reported the unusual leveling activity (the actual report was on a few players that exhibited that activity) the devs said they would fix the source of the problem , they do not disclose the changes they gonna make or the specifics on why thus resulted in lower xp.To be be honest I never noticed the collection xp more or less the steel/bonuse/diamonds it gave and I have condos. So before saying that a player told the devs to change collections xp is wrong, devs changed the collection xp on report that there was a few players levelibng 5 times within 10 minutes in the lvl 100's.
Now explain , do you think that sounds balanced that a lvl 100+ player can lvl 5 times in 10 minutes? last time I did that was when i was lvl 60 and below.

kobebayan
12-28-2010, 05:33 AM
oh common!!! group of players??who started it??no other than you! how many are you in the group?is that above half the numbers of players playing the game??the member of the group that you are saying is countable by my fingers,. ALL other players will benefit from the previous collection version.

now about the lvl100+ player level up 5 times in 10 minutes, is this level100+ cheating??? (you will say yes, thats your point) does the changes prevent him/her from cheating? the answer is "NO" !!! but the changes will prevent or slow him/her down on catching you.. that is the main reason! the changes are only for you!

this is the whole truth everybody! come and think of it. no other. that is why there is the changes.

12-28-2010, 05:47 AM
Kobe!! I can not agree you no more....but I think chris you level so fast!! Do you use this problem too? Maybe not..
I think you must pay a lot of money to buy the refill. Maybe you are the most payest player in cc. You are a biggest money supporter in cc. So your suggestion to developer team, they also set your suggestion as the first!!

kobebayan
12-28-2010, 07:05 AM
okay apology to that.. I just cant express my self.. I totally agree to eva, I think that way too..i just cant say it in good ways..but thats it.. english is my weakness thats why i cant use the right words...

cad07
12-28-2010, 07:32 AM
right! i agree also to eva.. but this game is not focused on leveling.. its enjoying.. no matter how high ur level is but ur stats are weak u are not the number 1.. ur just a high level player who pays for level-ups.. so why did they name it CRIME CITY? when you wanna do is just levelup? it's nonsense!!!! that is why this game is called "crime-city" is to fight, rob and build hoods to be a bad-ass.. and you want this to be a level-up game buying with money.. then they should name this, fast level - cash city..

John Row
12-28-2010, 08:04 AM
wouldn't it be more appropriate to be mad at the abusers... if you want to be mad shouldn't they be number one on the **** list? be mad because they messed things up for you...

kobebayan
12-28-2010, 08:26 AM
yes john..but the suggestions of SOME players were too selfish..it only benefits them/him..if he didn't suggest it to the dev's all of us will benefit on the collection..and those cheaters will still pay for what they've done..

John Row
12-28-2010, 09:09 AM
unless i missed it... you never explained how this selfish player benefits by lower xp payouts for all ...what benefit - possibly protecting his level leader position from others - might be, only thing i can conceivably think of ...

but i think you're selling short the developers to believe that one or a group of a few players brow beat or sweet talked them to be part of it and into changing something to accomplish it....do you think the developers are a bunch of high school kids wanting to sit at lunch with the "cool" crowd that they go along on panty raids in the frederic's of hollywood at the mall....

btw to all ... it's a f/n game... if your self esteem or chick magnet appeal is tied up to this you're in big trouble...

I don't need to undersell the dev to see their points and understand their resentment. There's been a great deal of manipulation to pressure on dev's to deal with certain aspects and problems with the game, along with speeches that have nothing to do with ultruistic motives. I don't need to disagree with the dev cracking down on cheats in order to object to the way with which many of these changes APPEAR to have come about BECAUSE of the methods used.

John Row

qod- all- where's the sphere of influence coming from...there's something no one will or can say...... real money... blood relations...revealing photos... had an old criminal law prof used to say "if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck... it's a duck"... which means i've been aware of this too for a while now...

regards frustrated... it's good that it's coming out in the open ... will it get satisfied???? stay tuned bat fans...

regards not underselling the devs... was addressing a condescending (imho) comment "not the devs fault..they was just convinced by a player because he is not benefiting on this..or he doesn't want others benefit more than him thats why he talked with the devs..damn" by another poster..."

so... is the issue the xp points or a player manipulating the developers? not the symptom... i'd say it was the disease

regards altruistic manifestos... my thoughts on this are known to those i shared them with

would have gone a long way had the devs addressed this yesterday.

This change to xp payouts on collections was made to deal with an unintended abuse of the system. This is not the final change to collections, and we may bring the xp payouts back up. When we detect an issue with a feature we resolve it in the most uniformly fair way possible.

This change is in no way due to one or more people pressuring us. We get reports from hundreds of players that we investigate and take action on.

Mark said hundreds, so all this bullcrap about just a few players to benefits from such recent changes is just an awful excuse the abusers are using to shadow their malicious gameplan in which they have no other excuse to use.May I remind everone that the players that were in question were different lvl groups just coincidently seems most those players were from the level 100's like if they formed their own lil group w/ intentions to disrupt the game, and since this lil trick I have recently learned from this leveling trick involved using multiple accounts (one account w/ all the condos then using your main account to rob them every 5 minutes and get collections) so not only this group of disruptive players caused an imbalanced but also used multiple accounts which is against facebook terms of service which also makes it against crime city game rules and such multiple accounts will be reported and dealt as so this includes and not limited to the disruptive players as mentioned before.
to remind you:
http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?383-Thinking-about-cheating-...-Think-Again!!!

If you do not like the rules and can't play by then don't play the game or use facebook, go find some other game you can hijack.

p.s I never had to use such methods to get where i am in the game, so I can't see the joy of doing so, and neither should everyone else. And no I didn't use gold as I been accused of, All it took was churches in no way got abused like condos because it's a premium object that requires gold bars and not many players have it so unlike everyone else I had to work for my exp by finding mafia with churches to protect (8 a day) and robbing rivals churches that are robbable, and I click hunfreds of xp posts a day makes me the hardest working player in crime city, if everyone took a page out my book there would'nt be any problems.

Every change i've seen so far has been a good thing.
I will change my hood to suit my needs and the constraints of the game.
When collections appeared, i checked through them and built my hood to suit my needs.
When boosts appeared, i looked at them and decided they were'nt for me.
When boost buildings appeared, i checked them out and got one of each. . . woo hoo.
Godfathers mansion? . . . Genius . . . love it.
It's a game . . . Isn't the point to have fun?
It's a game in BETA so it's not perfect . . . changes will be made and adjustments will happen.
The creators are trying to improve your gaming experience.
THIS IS A GOOD THING . . . isn't it?

"whine whine whine, I love it!!" . . . Chris Sebastiano. . . #25

I think you're a stirrer and an instigator (trouble maker) Sir! . . . and a whiner yourself.

"Now explain , do you think that sounds balanced that a lvl 100+ player can lvl 5 times in 10 minutes? last time I did that was when i was lvl 60 and below." . . . Chris Sebastiano. . . #25

Doesn't this mean you were "cheating"???

Chris Sebastiano

im a whiner and troublemaker?
hmmm where did that come from? I suppose im the one making threads like this *****ing about the right thing devs does, for each complaint I seen here is criticizing devs decision, Im just happy you all find it fun to wanna start a fight with me when all im doing is explaining the reason for the changes, I mean if theres a thread made asking about xp drops on collections and im a forum volunteer helper I don't see the instiggator part when Im answering the question. If you don't like my responses (which I really dont give a crap if you do or not) then you know wheere to submit your complaint.
Have a nice day!
