Thread: Facebook Credit to Gold transition FAQ

Facebook Credit to Gold transition FAQ

Crime City is moving from Gold to Facebook Credits. This is a rather big change, so I wanted to explain exactly what's going on.

First off, you didn't lose your Gold. It's all still there. You can still buy anything you want with your Gold, and I'll show you how. First, open up your store page.

From your store page, click the "Special" tab in the upper left corner; that will take you to the Gold / Facebook Credit items.

From there, simply select "Gold" items and you'll see everything is still there. You can purchase today everything you could purchase yesterday, for exactly the same prices as before.

For those of you worried about the timer, please contact us through the application. If you have Gold right now that you want to save, if you're trying to purchase an item that you don't have enough Gold for but you're getting FB Credits, or you have any other concerns, please contact us. We will try our best to accommodate you.

Please post any questions or concerns or constructive feedback here. Any other threads about this will be redirected here and locked.

Sincerely needed advance warning on this major change. How many people just
used up their FB credits to buy soon-to-be-useless gold? Ofc they can blow that
gold now...immediately, whether they wish to or not. How many people, however, have been
saving gold for weeks/months to get enough gold to buy that cool Prime (for example)?
    Too bad for them, eh?
Seriously, you should have put up a post about this about 2+ weeks ago.
That would have been the decent thing to do.
Also, how are you coming by these insanely low values on the gold-->cash conversions?
1.5 mil $ for 36 gold? And I am hearing 1.8 mil for 100+ gold??
WTH is that about? Quantities of game $ below about 20 million are practically
worthless. I get well over 10 mil $ each day without trying. Gold takes
    weeks and months to acquire.
That conversion rate needs intense recalculation.
I think I understand what you are trying to do. Or, maybe I am wrong
and these guys http://reface.me/news/who-owns-facebook/ sent you
threatening letters or kidnapped your kids or something.
Either way, I don't care that much. It's just a game.
But still, you should have given warning before the 10 day
    death-timer started.

M0ofo0, please read this part again:

"For those of you worried about the timer, please contact us through the application. If you have Gold right now that you want to save, if you're trying to purchase an item that you don't have enough Gold for but you're getting FB Credits, or you have any other concerns, please contact us. We will try our best to accommodate you."

If you've been saving up, we'll try to accommodate you. If you don't want to spend it now, we'll try to accommodate you. There is no "too bad" in any of this.

Too late Mark. I resigned to the timer already and bought a semi useless Church before
any of you guys responded to the threads that you have now closed. I resign to the
conversion, as I decided to not let this bother me overly much and I had relatively
little gold, anyway (36). Yet hearing of those with 100+ gold and hearing they are
getting almost identical amounts of $ for theirs inclined me to comment on the insane
conversion rate. I'll not bother with being privately handled for a mere 36 gold, as I
can no longer save to get to the 60+ I was aiming at now, anyway.
I do acknowledge your attempts at appeasement on that score, however. But it is a
band-aid to remedy the simple oversight of not warning us and preventing gold purchases.

I would like to ask for help. I had 50 gold and was going to purchase another $20.00 wort, (I think that was about 110 or 115 gold) so that I could buy another Prime and then have some gold left over to buy either a weapon or sonme armor. I really don't want to waste my gold because I paid REAL money for it. What can I do? please help me on this.

    Thanks for your time

I've decided I want 30 Primes as compensation for my irritation and annoyance!
Yeah...that would make me happy again.
    Hmph!
    And hurry up!

Detuble, how am I wasting your time? You choose to be here and you choose to read
what you read. I choose what I wish to post, your wishes notwithstanding. Therefore,
if you value the 15 seconds it took you to read that post so highly, I say you should
quit playing games altogether, as you are taking them far too seriously.

I agree with M0oFo0.. I do not want a conversion of my gold to cash. Cash is easy to acquire and useless. I noticed the shop has changed. I bought a RPG launcher for 800K one time, I went back to buy more for my crew and suddenly they're 1.4mil in cash. It kind of sucks when your leveled out bank only holds 1mil. Nope. I want a gold to fb credit conversion. Straight across the board. Your offer for cash was like a worn out old syphilitic whore asking for top dollar for a whole night. It's insulting and the deal should be sweeter than "take it or leave it".

While we're on the subject, why is there not a way to convert cash into other commoditys? Cash is supposed to be king in a world of crime. Why not a clearing house that I can take my cash and convert it into diamonds, iron, or gold (now fb credits)?

And another thing- where did the newspaper go? If I'm gonna get bent over the apple barrel and robbed, I want to know who did it so I can do the mafia way and make them pay for it spades.

I dont want to lose my gold either, I may only have 31 gold, but I was going to buy some more today, Imagine my surprise to find that I was given a "Countdown to Extinction" of my gold. I don't want cash for gold. Give me double the FB credits for it and call it a day, Or at least do an even exchange with a 1 time FB credit gift of 25 credits. Please don't screw me out of my gold. After all if we weren't here to play the game, you wouldn't be lining your pockets.
