Didn't know where else to put this, figured this was the best place lol. But I have a new interpretation of the boss event statement :
"The more times you defeat the Epic Boss, the better your chances of winning rarer and more powerful units!".
I think we are purposefully being deceived here, because you obviously have a greater chance of achieving something the more times you do it. For example, a baseball player has a better chance of hitting a HR the more times he gets a plate appearance. Someone with 10 at bats is less likely to have hit a HR compared to a player with 100 at bats because he has had more CHANCES to hit one. Just like with each boss kill, it's a CHANCE at receiving a rare. Very nice choice of words on GREE's part.
Let's say the rare drop rate on epic boss kills is 5%. After killing 10 bosses, you have a 50% overall chance of receiving at least one rare unit from those 10 kills. Comparing this to just one boss kill attempt, 50% is obviously higher than 5%. Thus making GREE's statement true, the more times you kill the boss, the better your chances of winning a rare. I don't think our probability of receiving a rare is supposed to increase throughout the event. Did this make sense? Lol. They are basically stating the obvious.
