How can Funzio avoid spam on the forums?
Hi everyone
I have notices that spammers (very often someone trying to sell stolen Credit Card or net-bank login information) are becoming more and more active on Funzio's forums.
Funzio is good at deleting the spam as we report it.
Do anyone have some good idea's how we an avoid spam to rapier on the forums in the first place?
So Funzio can use their recourses on improving their games instead of wasting it on fighting spam.
I have 2 suggestion:
Moderate first message from new accounts
Make the first message from a new account require a moderator to approve it before it is visible on the forum. If that first message is SPAM then delete the account and ban the IP and e-mail address.
The spammers will soon stop if where message never makes it to the forum
Require a game ID tried to the account
All players in a Funzio game has a unique 9 digit ID number: (Mafia Code in Crime City and Alliance ID in Modern War and Kingdom Age)
I think that Funzio should make it required to have a valid game ID for the game the forum it for registered in the forum account before people are allow to post in the forum.
Just have people to login with their forum account once ingame in the menu -> “More” -> “Funzio ID” menu before they are a low to post in the forum for that game.
This is a little thing to do for the normal player.
It will quickly become to much work for to the spammer if he/she has to play though the tutorial for every game every time his account get busted, before he/she can post his/her spam.
Do anybody have better anti-spam idea's?
