When do you have enough land?

Pretty new to the game. Been working on my economy, trying to constantly be building and upgrading. I'm at level 30 and I've purchased every building for my level. I'm was continually expanding land and upgrading. I now have quite a surplus of land at the moment, so it got me thinking what's the max amount once you're at the highest levels. When should I stop?

if you dont have anything more to build... why tax your income with more land purchases? If you ahve 1 extra square that should be enough if they release more buildings.

I stopped when my next expansion cost $90K, fairly certain that's sufficient for the cash/unit/boost buildings and some defense ones. If you have that much of a surplus, just stop. After all, if you need to do an expansion later, it's not like you won't see it coming in plenty of time.

I've stopped with the next expansion at 50k. I'd only need about 3 more if I wanted the remaining gem buildings and all of the defense structures. Anything beyond that is just for landscaping. Adding land only takes 48 hours, so even if gree releases new buildings, provided you have one spare you are unlikely to be slowed down.

Same here, next one 90k. I managed to fit all buildings/defensive buildings plus 2 Gold Mines and 2 Wine Makers with this. I won't bother expanding unless they release new buildings.

Stop at 50k, have all buildings in and 1 spare square on standby in case of moving or getting new buildings. My idea is to pack all buildings as close as possible so that the defence buildings' effect is maximised.

You don't have all the Gems ones then?

I counted roughly 6x6-1 with all gold purchased buildings + some decors
